VGTI and Merck – Join in Port Saint Lucie – To Find HIV Cure

The Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Florida and Merck have teamed up in Port Saint Lucie FLorida to work toward a cure for HIV.  VGTI works to turn research into ways to improve health.  It is also creating jobs.  VGTI announced it will receive $25 million in federal grants in five-year increments.  The grants pay for studies to find safe ways to target the spots where HIV hides within cells.  VGTI is planning a grand opening for its new building of Gatlin Boulevard at Tradition for February.  For those of us who have been watching the building to up ~ this is extremely important and exciting news.
